I'm Freeeeeee! (To Practice Independently)

Today, after four years of college, two years of grad school, and three years of supervised work, I’ve officially completed the process of becoming a licensed independent social worker by passing my clinical exam. According to the state, today I’m ready and qualified to practice my profession without anyone’s oversight. According to me, though, learning never ends, whether it comes from books, workshops, coworkers, supervisors, or my clients themselves. 

What an adventure it’s been! I’m so grateful to my parents, professors, employers, clients, friends, and everyone else who has nourished my ambitions.
